Her cellphone in her pocket, her ice skates thrown over her shoulder. She grabbed a pen and a piece of paper, quickly writing down where she was going, and stuck it on the island. And, the next thing she knew, she was out the door.
- - - - - - - - - - -
She opened the door to the rink not far from where she lived, and looked around at the people happily skating around, and having the time of their lives. When, clearly some people out there could lose theirs any moment. She thought of this as she pulled off her own shoes and put on her own skates. Then, one thought came to mind. Bridgette. The poor girl suffered through a lot with the family she had, when, they clearly don't have any other priorities except working her to death. It was sad, they obviously had other things to do. Places to go. But, they didn't.
She set her cellphone on the table, and bounded out on the ice. Skating around in a small circle. This did not happen often, as she was usually studying or something other than skating, out with friends, etc. But, today she needed a break. She needed to cast her thoughts a drift, and just let her feet carry her around the sheet of ice, that could be dangerous if impacted hard enough on. Like, when falling off of your feet and landing on a bone directly.
However, this came to show when her right skate escaped her balance and went too far bounding off of the wall, throwing her off of her feet. Her back hit the slim, smooth ice, however, her head was not as lucky. As, when her back hit, it flung backward and bounced back up. She lied there, hearing a scream erupt when the red liquid began draining out of her. "Great, just what I need..." she said, Keeping her arms to her sides so if something was eternally injured then, it wouldn't be hurt anymore than it already was.

Josh breathed in the crisp winter air. It was a nice day surprisingly, which wasn’t often seen in the winter. So, in honor of the occasion, Josh decided to head down to the ice rink. What? When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Or in this case, they were in Maine and it was winter. Skating was a must.
Of course, it would have been more fun with Kris. She had taught him how anyway, and helped him overcome his fear of it. For the most part, anyway. He still was a bit weary of falling. But, he never tried jumping or spinning or anything fancy like she did, he’d be fine. Or at least he hoped.
So one rental and lace up later, Josh was skating around aimlessly. Just thinking. About life, the universe and everything. Oh, and Kris. Because she wasn’t escaping his mind very easily. Then again, if she’d been up there for, god, 10 years, she could stay up there a little while longer. Those thoughts were interrupted abruptly as Josh turned the corner in time to see a girl go down. Hard. His kind nature kicked in, and he skated over as fast as he could. Stupid jeans wouldn’t let him bend as much as he liked though.
“Jeez, you okay?” Josh asked her, kneeling down to her eye level. His hand went in… something wet but warm. Definitely not ice. Josh picked his hand up to see it covered red. He suppressed a girly scream from the sight of blood (which he was not comfortable with). “I’ll take that as a no…” came his own weak reply.

Ice skating- ha, that was not really Chandler Finley's thing. He never saw twirling around in aimless circles on a patch of slippery ice fun unless he was wearing his Converses and on his driveway. So, why was he walking towards the ice rink on this cold winter day? Well, that truth is- Chandler had been invited to play in a small hockey game today with a few random kids from his school. Yeah Chandler was the type of kid who wasn't really popular, but people just found him enjoyable to hang out with, so he was always invited to random things like wild parties and brutal hockey games. He was adorned in a crazy orange hat which held back the long side bangs of his dark brown hair, and then a nice leathery black jacket over a red Lynyrd Skynyrd skirt accompanied by a pair of dark washed jeans. It wasn't the warmest outfit, but it would do for him.
As he approached the rink, he slipped on his old hockey skates, and stepped quickly onto the ice, almost loosing his balance, but catching himself with his hockey still he had brought in hand. Chandler skated over to the guys he saw huddled over in the corner of the rink. He was the last guy to show up- typical of him, and the group started to play a few minutes after his arrival.
Chandler was excited to play- the last time he had probably played ice hockey was a year ago and that was only against his little brother so of course he had won easily. Now, the game was much more intense. Chandler smiled as the hockey puck was pelted towards his direction, and he caught it easily with his stick- rushing past the opposing players and headed toward the net. He looked to see one of the people on his team standing right next to the goal, so he quickly passed it and watched as the kid made a clear shot directly into the goal.
"Hey, look at that girl over there!" one of the players shouted out. Chandler's eyes wandered over to where he was pointing to, and he looked to see a girl laying flat on the ice. Even though there was already a kid going over to help her, Chandler quickly set down his stick and skated quickly over to the scene.
Trinity- he noticed it was her as soon as he got close enough to see the paleness of her skin and contrasting color of her dark brown hair. Even though it was his ex-girlfriend, it didn't stop him from skating faster over to where she lay.
"Hey! Did you call 911 yet?" Chandler immediately asked the boy kneeling next to her, already taking out his phone before he could answer the question.

The screams erupting on the ice was not a pleasant thing to hear, and they were deafening. However, somebody was already at her side. And, this she was thankful for. "Yeah, I'm fina and dandy. How about you?[/b[" she asked him sarcastically, hoping he wouldn't take it to heart, then heard somebody call out;
"Hey, look at that girl over there!"
Then felt somebody else skating up to the two already there. "Hey...." she managed to get out, before he began dialing on his phone. "Wonderful... All I need is an Ambulance from trying to go skating." she said, then saw the red liquid out of the back of her head. "Oh, that doesn't look good." she said, her eyes getting wide. Her right hand picked itself up, and moved itself to the back of her head, feeling around, then, felt something that hadn't been there. Something that wasn't very good to have at all. She however, pulled her hand back, and looked at it, blood-stained, and useless at this moment in time. "Chandler, can you make sure that my cellphone doesn't get stolen, you may need it's signal in the hospital if you guys can't come back." she said to him, really the only one she knew so far. She hadn't known the first boy to come to her side, but he must've been nice, otherwise he would've stayed back, and let the paramedics help.
"Mmm." escaped her throat as she stirred. Or, more so tried to. It wasn't as easy as it looked when your head was leaking the one thing keeping you alive. Suddenly images began flashing in her mind of Bridgette and her brother. The poor girl probably suffered through worse than this. And, now, she felt more sorry for her more so than she ever had before. "What happened?" she managed to choke out, waiting on one of the two's replies. "Hey, Chandler, nice to see your ex slip on the ice and have to go to the ER because of it?" she asked him, her voice barely heard, however, loud enough for him to understand.
Her eyelids fell to conceal her eyes, as the girl fell unconscious.

"Yeah, I'm fine and dandy. How about you?" she asked him sarcastically. Josh sighed. Well, at least she didn’t have brain damage; that they could be sure of. He was about to reply with a rather sarcastic remark of his own before someone else showed up. A guy, about the same age as him.
"Hey! Did you call 911 yet?" the new guy asked.
Josh visibly winced. “No…” he replied, beating himself up in his head for not thinking of that. God he was such an idiot sometimes. Luckily, he was already dialing for an ambulance. So, Josh just sat there entirely unsure of what to do.
“Oh, that doesn’t look good.” came the girl’s voice again as she looked up at her blood-stained hand. Josh swallowed again, he hated blood. “Relax, we’re getting you help…” he managed to say, staying right by her side. She took his advice and… went unconscious. Josh panic-striken Josh checked to make sure she was still breathing, which thankfully she was.
A few minutes later, the ambulance had arrived outside. They loaded her onto a stretcher and began asking a lot of questions to him. Like who she was, who her parents were, where her parents were, his relation to her…
“I… I’m sorry I really don’t know her…” was all he could manage to stammer out…
”Well I’m afraid we can’t let you on the ambulance then,”
Totally. Screwed. Unless… did the other guy know her?
OOC: I’m thinking the part about Trinity waking up should be on the ambulance… but we can adjust that if need be.

Chandler had taken only a few minutes on the phone will 911 to describe the situation at hand, and they assured him that they would be sending an ambulance right away, so Chandler simply waited there in fear as the time clicked away on his watch. The sight of blood never phased him, but he didn't enjoy watching it empty out of Trinity's head. When she had mentioned him grabbing her cell phone, he immediately looked around, trying to spy where it was. Seeing it on the table, he skated quickly over to it, grabbed it and slipped it into his own pocket next to his, and then returned back to her and the other boy.
When Chandler returned, Trinity had spoken the line about him being 'glad to see his ex slip.' It really hurt him to hear such words out of her mouth- of course he would care and not be happy to see a girl who he once loved, maybe still did but could never admit it to her again, hurt and needing to go to the hospital. But, before he could explain to her how he truly felt about the situation, her eyes closed and he knew she must be unconscious.
When the ambulance arrived, Chandler was thankful. Though, they had first gone to the other boy to ask questions on the victim, and Chandler knew that this kid wouldn't know- he would have to learn the name of this boy before the end of the day. He quickly walked over to the paramedics when the boy said he had no clue about the victim and wouldn't be allowed on the stretcher.
"Her name's Trinity Lindley...age seventeen...parents," Chandler began to list off the basics to the team. "...And I'm her, uh, friend...and he's my friend," Chandler gestured over to Josh. "So, by that connection he would be her friend...sort of..."
"Okay, just get on, we need to go," the man told him, and Chandler gestured towards Josh to follow the guy onto the ambulance.
"Hey someone take my stick home!" Chandler called out to the guys he had been playing hockey with. He did, however, hold on to his skates, and was able to slip his Converses on before climbing into the ambulance. [/blockquote]

Images flashed in her head. Many of them of Chandler and Bridgette. However, these images stopped, and the scene replaying in her mind was of Chandler dumping her for reasons unknown. Then the next one of Bridgette, slaving in the kitchen cleaning the counter-tops so the chefs could kick. Tears welled up on her face, slipping down her pale skin. She then jumped back into reality from unconcsiousness, bolting straight up from her position moments before. "Where am I?" she asked Chandler. Looking around her, she put her right hand to the back of her head, feeling the gauze, though, it wasn't dry, it was wet. "I must've taken a pretty hard fall, huh?" she asked him, turning to the other boy. "Thank you." was all she had to say to him, what more could she say?
She looked at Chandler, her head going down now. "I- I'm sorry." she said, studdering at the fact she was actually apologizing for something, and, you could not see this happen often. However, what she had said was cruel, and probably had wrecked their friendship, but, at least she got to apologize before he exploded with anger, or left with sorrow. "Hey, make sure to tell Bridgette for me, Thank you. And, tell her that she changed my life in ways other people couldn't." she said to him, looking at her right hand once more. It was still stained, and, yet she could think of nothing to say. "By the way, I'm Trinity, Trinity Lindley." she said, turning to the other boy and holding out her hand.
She layed back, holding out her hand still, she waited for eithers' response. And, readied herself for anything to come.

Josh mouthed a 'thank you' back to the other guy as he hopped on one foot to take his skates off. He dropped them off quickly at the rental spot and hopped more towards the door to slip on his beat-up sneakers. Who knew putting on shoes quickly could be so difficult? He followed the other guy into the back of the ambulance, and it took off speeding towards the hospital.
Once on the ambulance, the girl came to again. And started talking to her apparent ex again, apologizing for... earlier, Josh guessed. He raised an eyebrow. Well, that was certainly something you didn't see every day. He figured she’d be trying to claw his eyes out by now. Then again, he probably should have picked up on that when her ex boyfriend offered to help out. Still, exes on good terms were a rare find. Most that he knew were ready to kill each other.
"It's no problem," Josh replied, still wondering who Bridgette was and what she had to do with anything. A girl the other guy cheated on perhaps? "I'm Josh Denvers,” he replied shaking her hand, and then stepping back a little in the crowded ambulance. He would just remain silent. It would probably be for the better to let the guy she knew explain what was going on anyway.
Besides, today was weird enough as it was with helping out someone he didn’t even know. It was the curse of a kind soul, Josh figured.

Finally! Chandler learned the name of the boy who had gone over to help Trinity first. Josh Denvers...he had remembered hearing the name. Maybe Maddy had mentioned it once. That was right, Josh was good friends with Kris. Wow, what strange ways people can all be connected back to each other. But, now back to Trinity.
Chandler's eyes looked down at her, thankful that they had already patched up her head with gauze to attempt to stop the bleeding. They would reach the hospital in a few moments, where Trinity would be able to rest for a little while and then eventually return home to recover.
"Yeah, haha," Chandler mentioned to smile even in the awful situation they were in. "You're in the ambulance that's just about to reach the hospital. And yeah, it must have been a pretty big fall to have caused on that," he replied, gesturing towards her head.
"Don't worry about it," he replied to her apology. He understood what she meant, and he should be the one to apologize to her for breaking up with her, but he never wanted to tell her the actual truth- he couldn't bring himself to it.
"Okay...I will," he told her. It was like Trinity was on her death bed wanting Chandler to tell all the people she loved she would miss them. Bridgette- yes, Chandler knew she was friends with her, he had been the one to bring them together. But, he didn't know that her life had had that much influence on Trinity.
The ambulance finally screeched to a stop, and the doors of the back of it opened. The paramedics began to reach for the stretcher Trinity was in to unload her off and rush her into the hospital.

She listened to Josh introduce himself. And, nodded to Chandler. "On the way to the hospital? I didn't think it was that bad...." she trailed off. And began mumbling to herself.
"I walk the streets with a song in my head We ebb and we flow so Got my toes on my pup at the foot of my bed My heart always seems to know Now take the glitz back, I want the soul instead 'Cause I found some kind of fairytale " could be heard, if you listened close enough. Then, cut herself off. " No, I need to worry about it. There has to be a reason you broke up with me, or else it wouldn't have been so sudden. I'll get to the bottom of it. Count on it." she said to him, then watched as his expression dropped a bit. " Chandler, I'm not on my deathbed, I feel fine actually. And, Bridgette made me see life through her eyes. You know how she gets treated, now, put yourself in her place. And, then, you'll know what I mean." she said to him, knowing as soon as he was done with that, he'd know exactly what she meant. She then heard the screech, and the vehicle some to a stop. " Guess that means were there?" she asked the two as the stretcher was hauled out of the truck. [/blockquote]

Josh watched the banter go back and forth between Trinity and her ex, Chandler. (He’d figured it out based on only the amount of times Trinity had said it.) All the while he was trying to remember at all if there was any sort of scrap of memory about either of them. And after racking his brain, he concluded there wasn’t. Well, it was a lousy way to meet two people, but what could you do?
"Chandler, I'm not on my deathbed, I feel fine actually…” came Trinity’s reply. Josh couldn’t help but snort a little. “I hate to tell you, the back of your head would argue otherwise,” he said.
The ambulance screeched to a stop and the paramedics unloaded the stretcher, Josh jumping out and following them inside. Naturally, he forgot they wouldn’t be allowed into the emergency room etc, and was rudely stopped at the doors up to there. He and Chandler would just have to wait in the waiting room. Annoyed, Josh took a seat in one of the chairs.
Josh reached for his cell phone to call his parents to tell them where he was. Except he realized that his parents were probably not the ones who needed calling. Trinity on the other hand…
“Hey Chandler, you still got her cell? ‘Cause you may want to call Trinity’s parents,” Josh said, “Or siblings or whatever. They’re probably going to want to know she wound up in the hospital.”
Unless of course her family was like Kris’s, and couldn’t give two cents about what happened to her. But if they were like his… they’d probably already be sending out a search party by now.

Chandler was immediately nervous when Trinity explained that she would find out the reason to him breaking up with her, no matter what. He wondered whether that was possible- Alice and his get togethers were always kept secret- not even Bridgette knew about their relationship past being somewhat friends. Had Alice told anyone- no...who would she? She wouldn't trust anyone enough- at least he thought.
But, he knew Trinity to be a persistent girl- maybe she could find out. He would just have to wait and see. But maybe it would be better if he told her himself, what could it change? Would she never talk to him again, or would she respect his choice to break up with her because of it?
Chandler was glad that they were now able to go there separate ways as Trinity was brought into the ER. Now, he had time to think on things without her being there. She was right about Bridgette- he understood everything what she was saying. When you compared your life to hers- it taught you to be happy about the good things you have.
He took a seat next to Josh in the waiting room, expecting to sit there in silence since next to Josh- he didn't know if they really had anything in common, but he would have to see about that. He seemed like a nice guy after all.
Chandler nodded when Josh brought up how he had his cell phone. "Oh yeah, uh, I'll do that..." He pulled out her cell from his pocket. He didn't even bother to check her contacts- she had her home phone number memorized. Chandler dialed the number and waited until her brother had answered the phone. He described to him how her sister had been hurt and he told him that he would be there soon.
Chandler hang up the phone. It seemed that Trinity's brother and him still got along well. He was a really nice guy, and they just seemed to connect. Yeah, they weren't best friends, but they always greeted each other at random parties and such.

A small laugh escaped her mouth, when Josh said her head would argue otherwise. "Yeah, well, if your head ruled over your body, then you'd be screwed out of everything." she said to him. Feeling the two men haul her out of the trusk, and roll her into the ER. She grabbed the medical form from the front desk, and took the pen from the clip at the top. And, began looking over the questions.
Are You married?; Yes or No
Any allergies; Yes or no Please list ___________________________________________________
Have you had any othr experiences like this; Yes or No
She stared at them as if they were crazy. Then thought to herself. "I wonder if they'd be mad if I answered them sarcastically..." She circled no to all of them, and set it down next to the bed. Staring around the the white room. "You know what, Chandler still has my phone." she said, more so to herself, rather than the nurse that was checking her pulse and blood pressure. "Um, excuse me? You wouldn't mind letting two boys, one by the name of Chandler Finley, and the other by the name of Josh Denvers back here, would you? They're sort of the ones' that saved my life....." she said, trailing off once more. The woman nodded in agreement, and she watched as trudged away. Clearly not happy she was dealing with a sixteen year old.
She grabbed a notepad on the sidetable, whether it was the doctors' or not, and grabbed the pencil not far off from it. She opened to the first blank sheet, and in neat cursive writing along the top wrote;
Chandler and Josh;
She then began shaping their heads beneath it, sitting on a bench, both smiling warmly. At least they could be happy. She was stuck in a blank room, with nothing else to do except debate with herself on which new sarcastic comments to use on people, when they least expected it. However, her boredom left her when she looked up to the door and saw somebody walk through the barrier.

Josh meanwhile in the waiting room sat in silence. With Chandler on the phone with Trinity’s family, there wasn’t exactly much for him to do except sit and wait for him to get off. Well, that and listen in, but he wasn’t a busy body. A few seconds before Chandler got off the phone, he felt a vibrating in his own pocket.
Crap. He’d forgotten to call his own parents.
He winced as he picked up the phone. “Hi Dad, I-“ he started, only to get cut off and chewed out by his father. There was a very loud audible buzzing from the phone, even if it wasn’t to your ear. Josh rolled his eyes. Oh, great.
“Dad… I… Dad. Dad. Dad… Dad!” he kept trying to interrupt. Finally his father took a long enough pause for him to explain the situation. There was a long pause and then a message from his father saying he’d be coming to pick him up, and then his father hug up the phone.
Josh flipped the phone close and stuck it in his pocket. He turned back to Chandler. “Overprotective parents. What can you do?” he said, shrugging his shoulders.
It was then a nurse walked in from the ER doors. “Chandler Finley, Josh Denvers? Could you two please follow me?” she demanded in a more-than-a-little-annoyed tone, and began walking back as soon as he stood up.
“Isn’t she a ray of sunshine?” Josh said quietly and sarcastically to Chandler.
He followed the nurse, making sure Chandler was right behind him, into Trinity’s room. He entered through the barrier first, to see Trinity doodling on a pad of paper. Well, at least she looked okay. And less bloody.
“Hey, how’re you feeling, Trinity?” Josh asked, moving closer to her bed, and sneaking a peek at what she was drawing. “Wow… you’re good,” he complimented. Even without the title ihe could tell who it was. It looked almost exactly like him and Chandler..

While talking with Trinity's brother, he could hear that Josh was talking with his Dad about where he was. Haha, he would call his parents, but no they really wouldn't care. No, it wasn't that they didn't care about him, but for some reason they really trusted him as a person. They knew he was out at the rink, and they would probably figure he would be there for a few hours. They had been a little disappointed in him, however, when he wouldn't allow his little brother to come with him, but for some reason that day he just wanted to be away from him, and it had seemed like he had made the right decision. He knew his brother didn't like hospitals all that much, so this would never be the best place or situation for him.
After getting off the phone with Trinity's brother, Chandler slipped her phone back into his pocket wondering if she would be missing it soon. And as soon as he thought this, the nurse approached the two of them sitting in the waiting room. "I would act the same way if I had a job like hers," Chandler replied quietly to Josh with a smile as he followed the nurse with him.
Chandler walked into Trinity's room behind Josh finding the white walls to be a little creepy. He had only been in the hospital a few times before- breaking his arm multiples times when snowboarding. But, that wasn't too bad- not as bad as what Trinity was suffering through now.
He noticed Trinity drawing on a large pad of paper, but he decided to linger a little farther back and not see what was on it. He knew it would be good before Josh commented, and he smiled over at Trinity, waiting for her response from Josh. He still didn't know how to act around Trinity- their relationship now was still a little awkward and he really didn't want her to find out...no he couldn't have that.
