Welcome to my Happy Ending
I Bridgette Madison have always
wanted to be in a fairytale and
Cinderella is the one I choose
Bridgette Olivia Madison was born on April 5th to Joshua and Lynne Madison.
Bridgette was a healthy baby however her mother was not. She got sick very
shortly after giving birth to her daughter. Causing her to be in and out of hospitals
until Bridgette was five. She does not remember much about her mother except
that she was always smiling and laughing. Seems pretty amazing being as the
whole time frame that Bridgette could remember her mother she was sick, yet she
was always smiling. Bridgette always wondered if it was the side her mom only
showed when she was around to make her feel as if things were going to be ok
when in fact they were not. Her father told her many times that her mother was
like all the time with everyone. Still Bridgette wonders if that was the truth.
Growing up, even though she was without her mother Bridgette had an amazing
childhood. Her father tried to make sure that she did not miss anything in life. She
was big into sports as well as acting and singing. Her father encouraged her all her
life to follow her dreams and that is what she did. When she was seven she was in
her very first leading role in a play. She figured that she was going to mess up
because she was seven and she figured everyone else believed that she was going
to mess up to. Everyone except for her father, who not only told her that she was
going to do well but believed it enough to convince her that he was right and that
she was going to do just fine, in which she did. She earned the roses her father
gave her at the end.
Bridgette loved her life and believed that she was the luckiest kid on the planet,
she was happy and she had a wonderful dad who put her before anyone else. It
was just them and they were the best of pals. Nothing was ever going to change
that. That is until shortly after she turned nine. Her father had somewhere along
the lines decided that he was lonely and that is when he met who was soon to
become Bridgette's wicked step mother. Not only that but she came with to extra
wicked twin girls that were the same age as Bridgette, the meanest of twins you
will ever meet. Bridgette begged her dad to not let them move in with them but
after getting mad and yelling at her, it became real that these people were going
to be a part of her life. Which went alright, as long as her father was around. As
soon as he stepped out of view they were meaner to Bridgette then you could dare
dream. She tried to tell on them once but she ended up getting in trouble for being
a liar, so from that point on she kept it all to herself.
After a year things started to change in there household. Bridgette's dad began to
catch on to her wicked step mothers way. Which sadly caused there to be a lot of
fights in her home. Which she usually escaped by locking herself in the basement
of the house. It was a constant battle between them. It was not a fight here or
there. There was never a moment of rest. This is when Bridgette's father began to
work more. Which he believed to be best for him but did not take into
consideration Bridgette. The more he was away the worse they treated her. Making
her there slave when he was not in the home. She tried to tell him about it but her
father was starting to become distant and cold. However on night he told Bridgette
that he was going away on business. She knew this was not a good idea but also
that nothing she could say was going to stop him. A week later she recieved a
letter in the mail telling her that he was going to come back and get her and that
he found the perfect place for them to live, just the two of them.
Bridgette was all ready to go. She had packed up what she thought she was going
to need and hid it in her closet waiting for her father to come steal her away. A
month went by and still there was no word from her father. Though she never gave
up hope, she knew that he was going to be coming for her. He was just needing a
little more time then he thought that he would. One day when she came home
from school she entered her room to find it completely empty. She was thrilled
thinking that he father had finally come for her. That is when her wicked step
mother showed her that it had all been moved to the basement. Where she was
now to reside. She did not go willingly until she found out why her father had
never come for her. When he was on a plane, on his way home, his way home to
get his daughter and get her out of here, his plane crashed. There were no
survivers, her step mother made it clear several times on this part.
Bridgette became there slave. She waited on them hand and foot for fear that if
she didn't, she would be thrown out into she streets and have nothing of her own.
Not like she had a whole lot as it was. Most of it, except the things she fought
extra hard for were taken away and given to her greedy step sisters. Who fought
for hours over who got what. Practically destroying most of it in the process. This
is how life has been ever since. Bridgette is now seventeen and a Junior in High
School. She is getting closer and closer to her escape but it still not close enough.
She is working hard on making sure she gets to have a life that does not include
slavery.

Jerico sat down at one of the benches and laid her head down in her hands. Her ipod was blarring loud obnoxious music into her ear. Her brother had borrowed it a few days ago to use at work and uploaded a bunch of songs where they would scream so loud you could not understand a single word that they were saying. It was quite annoying really however she felt like it was just the music that she had needed for the day. Something that was loud and angry, something that screamed at the top of its lungs and did not care who the hell was listening to it. That is how she felt she should be acting, but it was nice to let the music do it for her. She did not know if she had the energy to scream, or the energy to be as angry as she was earlier really. Things had been so hectic at home, plus with school it was like things were just going down hill. It was hard to do your homework and to focus on the important things when your family was constantly fighting. Her older sister had just told them that she was pregnant, to some guy she had only known for a few months. Her parents were furious. More so with the fact that it was only a matter of time before the rest of the town found out if they did not already know, and that was going to make them not only the poor family down the road but the poor family with slutty children. Which was not true. They were decent people, though even with people knowing that they still looked at them like they were a disease.
Jerico lifted her head and looked out over the park. It was around ten in the evening, so it was pretty dead. She had snuck out to come here. She needed to get away from the cold looks that were being shot back between her sister and her parents. It used to be that they were the family who stuck by each other no matter what but this situation was starting to show otherwise. She had even heard her parents talking about kicking her out. Making her learn that the life she was living was unacceptable and that they were not going to be there to pick up the pieces and constantly clean up her messes. Jerico did not want this to happen but she knew that there was not a whole lot that she could do about it. She was not mad at her sister, she agreed that what she did was stupid and irresponsible but it was not in her place to be angry at her. Her brother was angry at her, but that was because he was already a screw up in his families eyes and he gets the blame most of the time when the rest of the family messes up. Like her started a trend or something. Jerico defended him the most that she could but there was only so much that she could say. Her parents were the type of people who make up there mind and stay set in there ways. She learned this young and learned that sometimes it is better to give up while you are ahead. Plus he told her it was not worth it and she was not going to stand up for someone who did not want someone to stand up for them.
Flipping through the songs on her ipod she stopped on a song that she had not heard in a million years it seemed like. It was Traffic in the sky by Jack Johnson. Who just so happened to be one of her all time favorite artists. Though most people found him political, she found him willing enough to sing about the truth and in a manor that really made you think about it. He did not just say how it was, he put emotion and heart behind every word. That was what good music was all about. It was about drawing in those people who believe in your cause and keeping them held to you. Not pulling slightly then letting them go. That was harsh music, violent music, like the song she was listening to earlier. It was appealing at first then they started screaming and completely lost her interest. Jack Johnson kept his tone level and his words were said in a way that made you feel them not only hear them.
She thought about all the good times her family has had in the past. How was it that none of that was strong enough to make them look at this and go you know what we can get through this. What made her parents choose now to be angry and disappointed. Whatever the reason it was to the full extent. They were talking about kicking her out. They had not kicked Logan out, even though they should have. He may not have got pregnant or someone else pregnant but he dropped out of school. Though her father dropped out of high school because Jillian was born. So maybe they were just scared it was going to happen to her. That her life was going to end up like theres which was not bad. Sure they were not the richest family in the world but they were a family and they were happy. At least up until a couple of days ago she thought they were.
