It was deffinitly not the end of the world. Then how come she was running? Madeline Jennings was running from nothing, the rain pattered down on the old back roads, all that could be heard was the pounding of the rain, and the smacking of her black chucks aganist the dirt. The sky was filled with dark clouds, and the rumbling of thunder could be heard. Even though Maddy had passed a billion trees that she could shelter under, she still chose to run her heart out. Finally feeling as if she was about to faint, Maddy stopped at the treehouse her and he sister had built back in the woods way back when dinosaurs ate peanut butter. Everybody used it now, and it seemed like a good place to shelter from the rain right now. Her sneaker made a funny sound as she climbed up the creaky steps to the treehouse far up in the branches. Maddy flicked on an old lamp, she was surprised that it still worked. Looking around, she saw the little window they had cut out, and went over to it. Nobody. Emptyness. Nothingness. Wind suddenly came through the window, incrediably fast and knocked over a box in the corner.
Books? The one thing Maddy least expected to fall out of that box. She crawled over to the mound of books and looked at the covers, Night Time Stories, Fairytales, Walt Disney World: Unleashed. All her kid stuff. Fairytales? Hm. But strangly, Maddy believed all of them. As Walt Disney would say, "A dream is a wish that your heart makes." Or something much like that.
Odd... Maddy flipped through the dusty pages, and smiled. She sat down aganist the far wall, and yawned. Maddy hadn't read fairytales in forever, she didn't realize how much she missed them?? She was kidding herself she knew she was. Well maybe not, I mean fairytales made everyone feel good right? Not. Who were they kidding? Maddy just liked them because they helped her dream. She often found herself daydreaming about those far off castles, princes and princesses, magical creatures, gowns, balls, and all those fairytale things. None of it was true. But she told herself they were.

Maddy closed the book hurridly, not wanting to make herself believe anymore. It's like once you put that book down, you realize it isn't true, it will never be true. No matter how many times you tell yourself it is. Maddy never let herself think that though. She always sung those classic disneyt songs, never missing a beat.
A dream is a wish your heart makes,
when your fast asleep,
In Dreams you will loose your heartaches,
Whatever you wish for you keep.. She started, then she thought about it. She wished. nothing she wished for ever came true. Well then how come Cinderella got her way? Maddy never though on herself being jeolous of a storybook character... Sometimes she wished she could be in a book... Where everything would go her way...
